Event Coverage | Jakmodfest 2013
beHINd the weekend :
Saturday, June 29th, 2013 had been both an exuberantly tiring and magnificent day for us as we attended the first ever 2013 San Mig Light Jakarta Modification Festival (JAKMODFEST) at Carnaval Beach Ancol.

What we love about the festival is that when some people say the car scene isn’t what it used to be, or some would argue the shows are all the same, and that there is an over saturation of car modification events, they would shift their minds if they attended JAKMODFEST.
The festival managed to introduce a new breed of outdoor open sky car festival, along with some unique activities never been done before here in Indonesia that sets the bar higher for others only to follow, such as car limbo, beat the bump challenge, burn out fest, and also the chill&grill concept. We love that there’s great response from the participants towards the festival and especially the activities, which we’re sure kept them as well as the spectators entertained!
However, what we love even much much more is firstly, the diversity on the modification genres, where we can see a VIP ride sit next to a retro car, a stanced ride next to an extreme car, an elegant ride next to a street racer, and so on, secondly, the passion of the car owners (manifested on the quality, quantity, and focus on the modification of their cars, as well as their high enthusiasm in taking part on the activities such as car limbo, beat the bump, or burn out fest), as well as thirdly, the fact that there were some cars from neighbouring cities (Bandung, Banten, Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang, and so on) participating, which is in line with the festival’s spirit “Car Enthusiasts. Common Passion, Common Place”.
Overall, it was a great day for all of us, and we’re definitely looking forward to JAKMODFEST 2014!
